He was assistant Apothacary in Vizagapatam at age 32, became Physician to the Maharaja of Vizianagaram.
On 7 Jan 1863 Thomas Patrick married Mary Louisa SWANSEA-FARLEY, daughter of Capt William SWANSEA-FARLEY & Clarissa JOHNSTON, in Vizagapatam, India. Born in 1845. Mary Louisa died on 29 Nov 1899; she was 54. Buried in Grave in Bangalore, S.India.
